Sea Lab Studios is the trading name of Jean-François Roberge, an independent developer based in Naxos, Greece. By using the Verbos or Naxos Insider mobile applications, the Sea Lab Studios website (sealabstudios.com), or by purchasing any of our digital guides, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Use of Service

You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes related to language learning, travel planning, and educational improvement. You may not copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute Verbos's verb database, Naxos Insider's guide content, our guides, or our website content, except for your own personal, non-commercial use.

Verbos — In-App Purchases and Subscriptions Terms

Billing and Payments:

  • Purchase Options: The app offers a 'Yearly' subscription (currently $9.99/year) and a 'Lifetime' unlock for a one-time fee (currently $19.99). The price shown in the app at the time of purchase, in your local currency, is the price that applies.
  • Billing Provider (iOS): On iPhone and iPad, all transactions are processed through the Apple App Store. By making a purchase, you agree to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
  • Billing Provider (Android): On Android devices, all transactions are processed through the Google Play Store. By making a purchase, you agree to the Google Play Terms of Service.
  • Auto-Renewal (iOS): Yearly subscriptions will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions at any time through your Apple ID account settings.
  • Auto-Renewal (Android): Yearly subscriptions will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions at any time through your Google Play account settings.
  • Lifetime Access: The 'Lifetime' purchase provides permanent access to all current and future premium features of the app, for as long as the app is offered. Access is tied to your App Store or Google Play account and is non-transferable.
  • Refunds (iOS): Refund requests are handled by Apple support according to their standard refund policies.

Naxos Insider — In-App Purchase Terms

  • Access: The Premium purchase provides permanent access to all current and future premium features within Naxos Insider, for as long as the app is offered. Access is tied to your App Store or Google Play account and is non-transferable.
  • Refunds (iOS): Refund requests are handled by Apple support according to their standard refund policies.

Digital Guides — Purchase Terms

Billing and Delivery:

  • Products: This section covers our digital guides, including Move to Greece and Speak Greek in Real Life, sold in English and French.
  • Billing Provider: Purchases are processed through Gumroad. By making a purchase, you agree to Gumroad's terms of service and payment processing terms.
  • Delivery: Guides are delivered digitally and instantly via download link or email upon successful payment.
  • Refunds: Due to the instant, digital nature of these products, all sales are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
  • Right of Withdrawal (EU/EEA): If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content delivered immediately, you agree at checkout to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the download has begun.
  • Personal Use Licence: Your purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read and use the guide. You may not share, resell, or republish it.

2. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available." While we strive for accuracy across our verb conjugations (Verbos), travel and local information (Naxos Insider), and guide content, Sea Lab Studios is not responsible for errors, omissions, or changes in the information provided (including but not limited to business hours, prices, and availability referenced within Naxos Insider). We do not guarantee that our apps or website will be uninterrupted or error-free.

3. Not Professional Advice

Our guides, including Move to Greece, and our website and newsletter content share personal experience and general information only. They are not legal, immigration, tax, financial, or medical advice. Visa, residency, tax, and business rules in Greece and elsewhere change often and depend on your personal situation. Always check current requirements with the relevant authorities and consult a qualified professional before making decisions. Our language-learning content is an educational aid and is not a substitute for a qualified teacher.

4. Intellectual Property

All content in our apps, website, newsletter, and guides, including text, verb data, design, photographs, and logos, is owned by Sea Lab Studios (Jean-François Roberge) or used with permission, and is protected by copyright. Third-party names and logos (Apple, Google, and others) belong to their respective owners. These terms do not give you any ownership rights in our content.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sea Lab Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of our mobile applications, website, or digital products. Our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that product. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law, or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

6. Changes to the Service and to These Terms

We may update our apps, guides, features, and prices over time, and we may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Courts in Greece have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you may have to bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence or under your local consumer protection laws. Before taking legal action, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue directly.
